The annual ICE Awards celebrate the best marketing and advertising from Canada’s East Coast.
The St. John’s-based Target took home 22 trophies when the night was over, including five golds and five craft awards for work on Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism – long the agency’s most visible and awarded work.
Other big winners included Chester + Company, another Halifax agency that took home 11 trophies; Extreme Group, which won six; M5 Marketing Commuincation, which won five; and Famous Folks, which won four including a gold in the Online category.
Gold trophies also went to Bonfire Communications, Colour, Journeyman Film, MindSea Development, Revolve, Spark and Trampoline. Fourteen golds were handed out over the course of the evening along with 21 silvers, 33 awards of merit and seven craft awards.
“It was a true pleasure judging this year’s show,” said Andrew Simon, the chief creative officer at Cundari who led this year’s jury. “This year’s ICE Awards proves once again that there’s exceptional work coming out of Atlantic Canada. All of the judges were quite impressed by the body of work and quality of execution.”
